Self-exclusion and BetStop.

Self-exclusion is a formal request to be locked out of wagering for a period you choose. There are two levels: operator-level exclusion, which covers EpicOdds only and is switched on from inside your account; and BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register, which covers every Australian-licensed online and phone wagering operator at once.

Operator-level self-exclusion

Activated from inside the account, under ‘Account features’. Choose a period — 3 days, 7 days, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year or 5 years — and it takes effect the moment you confirm.

  • Period — minimum 7 days, maximum 5 years (industry standard).
  • Immediate effect — activation is instant; there is no email processing step.
  • Cooling-off on revocation — you can change your mind within 24 hours of activating; after that the exclusion is irrevocable until the period ends.
  • Balance — returned to the original payment source.
  • Pending bets — settled if the event has already run; voided with the stake returned if it hasn't.
  • Marketing — stopped automatically, across every channel.
  • Reactivation — the account does not reopen by itself when the period ends. You have to actively opt back in and complete identity re-verification.
