Responsible wagering.

We make our living from betting, so let's be straight about it: over time, most customers lose. The tools on this page exist so that what you lose stays at a level you chose in advance, with a clear head. Please use them — nobody at EpicOdds will ever discourage you.
18+ only, verified by documents
Wagering on this site is prohibited for anyone under 18. Age is not self-declared: it is verified against government identity documents before an account is opened and before the first bet is accepted. An account found to belong to a minor is closed and the funds handled as the law requires.
Tools available
- Deposit limits. Set, lower, increase or remove a cap on deposits over a period you choose. Decreases apply immediately; increases and removal wait out a seven-day cool-off before they take effect.
- Loss limits and spend limits. Different from deposit limits — these cap net losses or total turnover over a period, and are available on request through account settings or customer service.
- Reality checks and time-outs. Session-time reminders, and voluntary short breaks you can switch on from inside the account.
- Self-exclusion through the account, and industry-wide via the National Self-Exclusion Register (BetStop).
- Activity statements, downloadable inside the account at any time.
- Pre-commitment offered at account opening, in line with the National Consumer Protection Framework.
Signs worth noticing
Gambling harm rarely announces itself. Common early signs include:
- Spending more time or money on betting than you meant to.
- Chasing losses with bigger or more frequent bets.
- Hiding your betting or its cost from family or friends.
- Borrowing money, selling things or using credit to gamble.
- Missing work, study or family commitments because of betting.
- Feeling anxious, irritable, guilty or flat about your betting.
- Wanting to cut back and finding you can't.
Indicators of problem gambling
Clinically recognised indicators include preoccupation with gambling, needing to bet more to feel the same excitement, repeated unsuccessful attempts to stop, restlessness or irritability when cutting back, gambling to escape low mood, lying about involvement, jeopardising relationships or work, and relying on others to relieve gambling-related money pressure.
Ask yourself
- Have you bet more than you could really afford to lose?
- Have you needed bigger bets to get the same feeling?
- Have you gone back another day to win back losses?
- Have you borrowed or sold anything to fund betting?
- Have you hidden the extent of it from people close to you?
- Has betting caused you health, money or relationship problems?

What BetStop registration means
Registering with BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register (betstop.gov.au), excludes you from every Australian-licensed online and phone wagering service at once, including EpicOdds, for the period you choose. In practical terms: your account here is closed to wagering, no new account can be opened for you, all marketing to you stops immediately, and any withdrawable balance is returned to your verified source of funds. When the period ends, nothing reopens automatically — returning to wagering requires a deliberate opt-in and identity re-verification.
Financial controls beyond this site
Most Australian banks let you block gambling transactions on your card or account — usually a switch in the banking app, sometimes with a cooling-off period before it can be turned back off. It works at the payment level, across every operator, and costs nothing. Free, independent financial counselling is available through the National Debt Helpline on 1800 007 007.
Support for family and friends
Gambling harm lands on partners, family and friends too. Free, confidential support for affected others is available 24/7 through Gambling Help Online (1800 858 858, gamblinghelponline.org.au) — counselling, peer chat and resources built specifically for people supporting someone else.
